Rural Women Entrepreneurship Project
Women
in our society are completely financially dependent on their husbands since
they usually don’t get an opportunity to gain any kind of vocational skills or
qualifications. Instead of practicing an income-generating profession, they are
considered to be housewives, i.e. their common task assignment is restricted to
housework and parenting. This discrimination of women also extends to the job
market
This project aims to increase the capacity of disadvantaged
Rural women and girls in the Northern Region of Ghana with practical Vocational
and Entrepreneurship skills, providing them with the opportunity to start their
own businesses and become leaders within their communities. The training aims
to help alleviate poverty, enable economic independence and help increase the
self-esteem of vulnerable women and girls in the community. The training will
provide skills in practical trades to enable them to employ themselves and
generate income to support themselves and their families.
Women are trained the following Vocational and
Entrepreneurship Skills:

The Mentor Me Project

A relationship with non-parental adults influences positively the youths' perception of self-worth and competence.
The Program consists of training and preparation of the mentors; building a support network of volunteers and professionals, as well as individual goal setting and follow up. I=Over the years we have Mentored and trained over 5000 Students across Ghana

Education For All Project
When classrooms don’t have enough desks, children are either forced to sit six on a bench meant for two students or sit on the floor. This can be extremely uncomfortable, and distracts them from their learning.
Children also struggle without access to textbooks. In many cases, classrooms don't have any books at all.
Me For Africa over the past 2 years have Donated Classroom Desks, Exercises Books and materials to Schools in the Northern Region of Ghana
